Company Background
The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations were enacted in Great Britain in 1994 (1995 in Northern Ireland) and replaced by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 on April 6th 2007 in GB with the new regulations coming into force in Northern Ireland on 9th July 2007. Similar legislation was introduced in the Republic of Ireland, in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 1995, which were amended in 2002 & 2006.
Against this background, Hasco Europe Ltd. Was established in August 1995 to provide an independent service as CDM Co-ordinators (previously known as Planning Supervisors) and as Project Supervisors Design Process (in the Republic of Ireland) under these new regulations.
The Principals of Hasco Europe Ltd have had extensive experience of the construction industry through a wide variety of building, construction and maintenance projects, executed under both conventional and management contracts. The control and management of health and safety for both their own employees and contractors’ employees has been a high priority. This experience has been invaluable to their role as Planning Supervisors / CDM Co-ordinators.
Hasco Europe Ltd holds Corporate Membership of the Association for Project Safety. All the firm’s principals are Registered Members of the Association for Project Safety.
The Company has provided Planning Supervision / CDM Co-ordination and PSDS / PSDP Services on more than 750 projects, ranging from complex Public Works (Hospitals, Schools, Universities etc) to Industrial, Commercial, Retail and Housing Projects throughout the United Kingdom and the Irish Republic.
The combined value of projects the firm has been appointed on is in excess of £1.5Bn, ranging from large projects, such as the Titanic Signature Project, with construction costs of around £100m to small community based projects with construction costs below £100k. In addition, Hasco has undertaken over 100 consultancy assignments for Clients and Principal Contractors.
