Company Background
The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations were enacted in Great Britain in 1994 (1995 in Northern Ireland) and replaced by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 on April 6th 2007 in GB with the new regulations in force in Northern Ireland on 9th July 2007. This has since been revised by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 in England, Scotland and Wales. Similarly in Northern Ireland on 1st August 2016 with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (NI) 2016.
Similar legislation was introduced in the Republic of Ireland, in the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 1995, which were amended in 2002 & 2006 and Superseded in 2013.
Against this background, Hasco Europe Limited was established in June 1995 to provide an independent service of Planning Supervision, later to become CDM Co-ordination &/or Principal Designers and act as Project Supervisors Design Stage, later as Project Supervisors Design Process (in the Republic of Ireland).
The Principals of Hasco Europe Ltd have had extensive experience of the construction industry, through a wide variety of building, construction and maintenance projects, executed under both conventional and management contracts. The control and management of health and safety for both their own employees and contractors’ employees has been a high priority. This experience has been invaluable to their role as Principal Designers.
Hasco Europe Ltd holds a SSIP Certificate for Principal Designer Services.
Hasco Europe Ltd holds Corporate Membership of the Association for Project Safety. All the firm’s principals are Members of the Association for Project Safety.
The Company has provided Planning Supervision, CDMC, Principal Designer and PSDS / PSDP services on more than 1500 projects, ranging from complex Public Works (Hospitals, Schools, Universities etc) to Industrial, Commercial, Retail, Student Accommodation and Housing Projects throughout the United Kingdom and the Irish Republic. The combined value of projects the firm has been appointed on is in excess of £2.5 Bn, ranging from large projects, such as the Titanic Signature Project, with construction costs of around £100m to small community based projects with construction costs below £100k.
Hasco has also undertaken over 300 consultancy assignments for Clients and Principal Contractors.
